Mirko Roschkowski
Biography
The Dortmund-born tenor Mirko Roschkowski first enjoyed great success in Mozart operas, including as Tito (La clemenza di Tito), Tamino (The Magic Flute), Belmonte (The Abduction from the Seraglio) and Idomeneo.
His core repertoire currently comprises Lohengrin, Stolzing (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Max (Der Freischütz), Erik (Der fliegende Holländer), Claudio (Das Liebesverbot), Froh (Das Rheingold) and Hoffmann (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Énée (Les Troyens), Éléazar (La Juive), Werther and Don José (Carmen) form his core repertoire, with which he can be heard at venues including the Semperoper Dresden, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Komische Oper Berlin, the Staatsoper Stuttgart, the opera houses in Cologne, Bonn, Leipzig and Dortmund, the Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Wiesbaden, Nuremberg, the Nationaltheater Mannheim, the Graz Opera, the Bayreuth Festival and regularly at the Volksoper Wien. In the 2025/25 season, he will appear in new productions of ‘Lohengrin’ at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe, ‘Die Fritjof-Saga’ at the Aalto Theater Essen and ‘Die tote Stadt’ at the Staatsoper Hannover, amongst others.
