Christa Ertl

Born in Vienna, she started her career in 1979 as a dancer at the Stadttheater Baden. From 1990 to 1996, she was responsible for ballet direction. From 1996 to 2023, she served as assistant director, evening performance manager, head of stage services, and advisor to the artistic director. She directed numerous revivals.
In 2007, she received the Recognition Prize in the Theatre category at the Culture Awards in recognition of her artistic commitment. In 2019, to celebrate her 40^(th) anniversary on stage, she was granted citizenship of the city of Baden. Her directing debut was in 2009 with DER ZIGEUNERBARON, followed by GASPARONE (Langenlois Festival) in 2010, POLLICINO in 2011, 1001 NACHT in 2012 (Baden Theatre), and DER FIDELE BAUER and DER VOGELHÄNDLER in 2015.
