Clara Mills-Karzel
Biography
Clara completed her training as a musical performer and passed her diploma examination at the Performing Academy in Vienna.
During her training, she performed in High School Musical, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland and the film remake Im weißen Rössl – Wehe du singst, among others.
She then appeared in the revues Es träumte der Leo von Montevideo and Sing, Baby, Sing!, as well as in Die Spinnen, die Römer! (Volksoper Vienna), NON(N)SENS (Theater Center Forum), THE WHO'S TOMMY and GRAND HOTEL (Landestheater Linz), IO SENZA TE (Theater 11, Zurich), ICH WAR NOCH NIEMALS IN NEW YORK (Theater an der Elbe, Hamburg), FLASHDANCE (2EntertainGermany) and THE BAND (TdW Berlin) as a walk-in for Young Rachel, Young Heather and Debbie. Cancelled productions followed, such as Wahnsinn! on tour and Mamma Mia! as the first cast Ali in the new Flora. She appeared in the world premiere of Knockin on Heaven's Door at the Stadttheater Fürth and in the world premiere of Lady Bess at the Theater St. Gallen, playing Katharina von Aragon. This was followed by Io Senza Te at the Thunerseespielen, Catch Me If You Can at the Magdeburg Cathedral Festival, and Die Wüstenblume at the Deutsches Theater Munich.
Clara performed in Singin' in the Rain at the Salzburg State Theatre, first as part of the ensemble and then in several performances as Kathy Selden. She then moved to Coburg to play Bianca in Kiss Me Kate at the State Theatre. She then took on the role of Val in a new production of A Chorus Line at the Bad Hersfeld Festival. Most recently, she appeared at the Graz Opera in On the Town as Hildy.
