Biography
Cristina Pasaroiu, who was born in Bucharest, began her musical training at the “Dinu Lipatti” Music School in her home town. During her training, she won national and international competitions.
She went on to study at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, and subsequently at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
In addition to her work as an opera singer, Cristina Pasaroiu is a highly sought-after concert artist internationally. She has toured worldwide alongside Andrea Bocelli and has performed in the United States, Canada, Germany, Scotland, the United Arab Emirates, Norway, Latvia, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Israel and Saudi Arabia, among others.
Cristina Pasaroiu has sung at the Vienna State Opera, the Theater an der Wien, the Bregenz Festival, the Bavarian State Opera, Frankfurt Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Aalto Theatre Essen, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the National Opera in Bucharest, the George Enescu Festival, at the Budapest Summer Festival, at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, at the Theater Basel, at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, at the Festival di Caracalla in Rome, at the Opéra de Nice Côte d’Azur, at the Opéra national de Lorraine in Nancy, at the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, at the Tokyo Spring Festival and at the Daegu International Music Festival. She has also performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Klangvokal Dortmund, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Teatro Regio in Parma, Florence, Modena, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, as well as the Tokyo Spring Festival, the Seoul Arts Centre, Bordeaux, the Capitole de Toulouse, Paris, etc.
The AntoNetta project has earned her numerous international awards, including the Trophée des Célébrités 2024 in Romania, the Eccellenza Artistica – International Soul Music Award, the XXV Commissione Opera Award at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome in 2026, and the prestigious Grace Kelly Excellence Prize 2026 in Cannes.
