Darko Petrovic
Biography
Darko Petrovic studied scenic design at the Fine arts accademy in Venice and is an internationally active set and costume designer with more than 25 years of experience in opera, ballet, theatre, musicals and film. He has created over 130 productions across Europe, ranging from intimate theatres to major opera houses.
His career includes works with leading institutions such as the Cologne Opera, Vienna State Ballet, Düsseldorf Opera and Ballet, Berlin Opera, Geneva Opera, Tiroler Festspiele in Erl, the National Ballet of Bordeaux, Maggio Musicale in Florence and the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Lisbon, alongside projects with major German theatres and international festivals.
He collaborated with directors and choreographers from many countries and different generations: Michael Hampe, Lamberto Puggelli, Claude D'Anna, Patrick Kinmonth, Felix Seiler, Louisa Proske, Xenia Wiest, Max Hoehn to name just a few
He is guest lecturer for theater scenography at the Polytechnic University of Madrid - Department of Architecture
