Dominik Hees

Since 2009, Dominik Hees has played numerous roles in musicals, including: - Georg in the German-language premiere of Spring Awakening at the Ronacher Theatre in Vienna, - The title role in Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story at the Colosseum Theatre in Essen, - Rum Tum Tugger on the European tour of Cats, - Link Larkin in Hairspray at the Deutsches Theater in Munich, - Henry in the German premiere of Next to Normal at the Stadttheater in Fürth, - Frank N. Furter in The Rocky Horror Show at the Domplatz in Magdeburg, - Helmut Rahn in the world premiere of Das Wunder von Bern at the Theater an der Elbe in Hamburg, - Lukas Beineke in the German premiere of The Addams Family at the Zeltpalast in Merzig, - Charlie Price in the German premiere of Kinky Boots at the Operettenhaus in Hamburg, - Justin in the world premiere of Meine stille Nacht / Felsenreitschule, Salzburg; Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard / Stadttheater, Bozen; and Lancelot in Artus – Excalibur, Mariolino in Don Camillo & Peppone, and Pascha Antipov/Strelnikov in Dr. Schiwago / Freilichtspiele Tecklenburg. From 2019 to 2022, he reprised his role as Rum Tum Tugger in CATS at the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien. He was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the German Musical Theatre Awards in 2021 for his portrayal of Martin Brest in the world premiere of Knocking on Heaven's Door at the Stadttheater Fürth. 
After battling cancer in the same year, Dominik celebrated his return to the stage in the 2023/2024 season with RENT at the Dortmund Opera House and at Konzert und Theater St. Gallen. Dominik Hees made his debut at the Baden Theatre as Lieutenant Joseph Cable in SOUTH PACIFIC and directed SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD.
