Franz Frickel
Biography
Franz Frickel completed his training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, and has performed in both drama and musical theatre for many years. His numerous leading roles in musicals include Riff in West Side Story, Professor Abronsius and Chagall in Tanz der Vampire, Sam, Harry and Bill in Mamma Mia!, Jerry in Sugar, Manche mögen’s heiß, and Sancho Panza in Der Mann von La Mancha.
Franz has also repeatedly demonstrated his versatility in operetta. He played Leopold in Im weißen Rössl and Frank in Die Rache der Fledermaus, and gave a convincing performance as Prince Ypsheim-Gindelbach in Wiener Blut at the Sommerarena Baden.
Most recently, he appeared as Manager Markus in the world premiere of Rock Me Amadeus at the Theater Ronacher, and as Monsieur Firmin in Phantom of the Opera at the Raimundtheater.
