Mariella Hofbauer

Born in Lower Austria, Mariella Hofbauer has been performing on stage since the age of 15. She has been studying for a Bachelor of Music in Concert Performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since 2022, under Prof. Daniela Fally. In spring 2025, the young soprano completed her vocal pedagogy studies at the Joseph Haydn Private University under lecturer Elisabeth Pratscher-Musil. Alongside her musical training, Mariella attends acting classes and takes private dance lessons. Her repertoire ranges from opera and operetta to Viennese and art songs, and musicals. She has performed at various venues during her studies, including the Musikverein Graz, Herbsttage Blindenmarkt, Stadttheater Berndorf, Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Stadttheater Mödling, Schlosshof, Oper im Steinbruch, Klangfrühling Festival in Stadtschlaining, Stadttheater Wiener Neustadt, and Sommerfestival Kittsee. She has also performed in recitals and concerts in Berlin, Vienna, Stift Göttweig, Eisenstadt and Kittsee. Her most important roles to date include: Papagena in The Magic Flute, Juliska in Maske in Blau, Gretel/Sandmännchen/Taumännchen in Hänsel und Gretel, Klärchen in Das weiße Rössl, Ida in Die Fledermaus, Penny in Hairspray and Heidi/Klara in Heidi.
