Ricardo Frenzel Baudisch
Biography
Ricardo Frenzel Baudisch initially studied painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, before devoting himself to acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. While holding permanent acting engagements at Stadttheater Freiburg, Münster, and Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, he studied singing with Prof. Heinz Reeh and Sami Kustaloglu in Berlin. Switching to musical theatre, he performed various tenor buffo roles in the opera, operetta and musical repertoire, including Pedrillo in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Jaquino in Fidelio, Jan in Der Bettelstudent, Dr. Siedler in Im weißen Rössl and Alfred in Die Rache der Fledermaus with the Pfister siblings. In musicals, he has played roles such as Schikaneder in the eponymous musical and Cornelius Hackl in Hello, Dolly! He has performed at the state theatres in Stuttgart and Schwerin, the Semperoper Dresden, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, the Bayerischer Rundfunk, and the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl, to name a few.
