Biography

STEPHAN PRATTES zählt zu den gefragtesten Bühnenbildnern im deutschsprachigem Raum. 
Seit 1998 arbeitet er als Ausstatter sowie als Regisseur in zahlreichen Städten In Österreich, Deutschland, Schweiz, darunter Opernhaus Graz, Staatstheater Kassel, Staatstheater Braunschweig, Schauspiel Dresden, Festspiele Bad Hersfeld, Staatstheater Saarbrücken, Haus für Mozart-Salzburg, Volksoper Wien, Ruhrtriennale, Komische Oper Berlin. Er ist der Gründer des österreichischen Kinder- und Jugendtheaters „MKT-Theater“ in Graz. Zudem ist er Ausstatter des legendären Comedy Trios 

DIE GESCHWISTER PFISTER. Für die Welturaufführung von „I AM FROM AUSTRIA“ der Vereinigten Bühnen Wien wurde er für den österreichischen Musiktheaterpreis nominiert. Als Regisseur inszenierte er u.a. die Show „SAYONARA TOKYO“, im Berliner Wintergarten und erhielt dafür die Auszeichnung "SHOW DES JAHRES". 2023 wurde er für sein Bühnenbild zu der Produktion „SCHOLL-die Knospe der weißen Rose“ für den deutschen Musicalpreis Nominiert. 2022 gründete er in Österreich das neuartig-innovative Theater & Kulturunternehmen "ZIRKUS PRATTES" in Graz.
