Erin Marks

American mezzo-soprano Erin Marks was born and raised in the New York City metropolitan area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music from Saint Mary’s College in Indiana (USA) and a minor in German from the University of Notre Dame, graduating with honors.

She made her opera debut in 2018 in Bruck an der Leitha in the role of Cherubino. As a trained crossover singer, she has also participated in musical recordings in Vienna. She has performed with various ensembles in the U.S. and Austria and has taken part in international tours that have taken her from her home in the U.S. all the way to China.

Most recently, she has appeared as Sister Bertha (*The Sound of Music*), Marian Thayer (*Titanic*), Praskowia (*The Merry Widow*), Kassandra (Odysseus), Maude/Vera (Funny Girl), Head Nurse (South Pacific), and Sidonie (The Count of Luxembourg). She also stepped in at short notice to sing the role of Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus). Erin Marks has been a member of the Baden Stage company since 2021.
