Timotheus Hollweg

Biography

Born in 2000 in Vienna, Timotheus Hollweg grew up in a family of artists, which sparked his early passion for music, particularly musicals. He began his classical vocal training with the Vienna State Opera Children's Choir, with whom he appeared in numerous productions. His first solo stage engagement came in 2010 at the Vienna Festival, where he played Marie's son in Wozzeck, directed by Stéphane Braunschweig. That same year, he played Florian in the VBW production of Ich war noch niemals in New York at the Raimund Theatre, and in 2012 he played Crown Prince Rudolf in Elisabeth at the same venue. Further engagements during his school years took him from small stages to a production at the Salzburg Festival.
After graduating from the secondary school of the Vienna Boys' Choir, Timotheus began a Bachelor's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2021, due to be completed in 2025. While still a student, he had his first major musical engagements: in 2023, he played Sky in MAMMA MIA! at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch, and in 2024, he played Jean-Michel in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, directed by Andreas Gergen.
During the 2024/25 season, he will perform at the Landestheater Salzburg, appearing as a Tribe member in HAIR, as Rocky in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, and as Franz Nicht in the world premiere of the musical SKIVERLIEBT. The following summer, he will appear as Double J in the Seefestspiele Mörbisch production of Saturday Night Fever. For the 2025/26 season, he will join the Young Artists Ensemble at the Bühne Baden, appearing in several productions. He is also looking forward to a busy concert schedule alongside his brother Aeneas, Anna Rosa Döller and Alfons Haider.
