Description

Hanna Glawari is living life to the full after inheriting a fortune. She is the “merry widow” who is desired by men not only for her intelligence and beauty, but above all for her wealth... Opulence and joie de vivre are woven together in a compelling plot.

The MERRY WIDOW, which was first performed in 1905 and cemented Franz Lehár’s worldwide fame, is the pinnacle of the dance operetta. With its sparkling melodies and a confident emancipated heroine who knows what she wants, this operetta continues to cast its spell on audiences to this day.
