Description

Salzburg, 1938

Novice nun Maria is sent by the Mother Abbess of Nonnberg Abbey to the home of widowed Captain Georg von Trapp to care for his seven children. Quickly winning them over with her youthful and unconventional nature, she shows them how music can enrich their lives. Even Georg von Trapp’s tough exterior begins to soften … Following the annexation of Austria by Nazi Germany, the von Trapp family leaves Austria for good and moves to the USA, where they embark on an international career as “The Trapp Family Singers”.

The performance will last approximately 3 hours, including the interval.
